Trump to 'Decide Soon' When to Release Peace Plan

President Donald Trump has yet to decide when his Middle East peace plan will be released, the Jerusalem Post reports.

According to special envoy Jason Greenblatt, Trump will "decide soon" whether to release the plan before or after Israel's September elections.

Greenblatt also said that the administration wants to reestablish ties with the Palestinian Authority.

P.A. President Mahmoud Abbas severed all ties with the U.S. after Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital and moved the U.S. embassy there.

"We are not looking for a regime change, President Abbas is the leader of the Palestinians, so we hope that he will be able to come to the table," Greenblatt said.

"This conflict will only be resolved by direct negotiations between the parties," he added. "It's not for the United States or the European Union or the United Nations to demand how this conflict can be resolved."
