Terror on the Temple Mount

Two Israeli policemen were killed in a terror attack on Jerusalem's Temple Mount on Friday.

According to the Times of Israel, three terrorists approached a group of police near the Lion's Gate entrance to the Temple Mount complex and opened fire.

Two Druze Border Police officers, Haiel Sitawe and Kamil Shnaan, were fatally wounded. The other officers returned fire and the terrorists were killed.

Disturbingly, it has been revealed that the attackers were from the Arab-Israeli town of Umm al-Fahm.

As the Times of Israel notes, terror attacks on the Temple Mount complex itself are "exceedingly rare."
