Poll: American Jews Think Republicans Are Antisemitic

Despite the Trump administration’s unprecedented support for Israel, American Jews overwhelmingly believe that the Republican party is antisemitic, a new poll shows.

The Times of Israel reports that the poll conducted by the AJC shows, “Majorities of respondents in both surveys say the Republican Party holds a lot or some anti-Semitic views. More than two-thirds of American Jews (69%) and over half of US adults (52%) say the Republican Party holds at least some anti-Semitic views.”

Remarkably, despite the open antisemitism and Israel-hating racism of the Democrats’ left-wing, only 37% of American Jews say the Democrats are antisemitic.

Jews are also clearly in denial about left-wing antisemitism, with only 16% of American Jews saying the extreme left poses a serious antisemitic threat.
