Netanyahu Pledges to 'Fight Back' as Iran Ups Enrichment of Uranium

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed reports that Iran has begun to enrich uranium at five percent, a violation of the nuclear deal, pledging that Israel will “fight back” against Iranian aggression.

“Iran expands its aggression everywhere,” he said, according to the Jerusalem Post. “It seeks to envelop Israel. It seeks to threaten Israel. It seeks to destroy Israel. We fight back.”

“I also want to say, given Iran’s efforts to expand its nuclear weapons program, expand its enrichment of uranium for making atomic bombs, I repeat here once again: We will never let Iran develop nuclear weapons,” he added.

“This is not only for our security and our future; it’s for the future of the Middle East and the world,” Netanyahu said.
