Israeli Minister Warns: Iran May Attack Israel

As tensions spike between the U.S. and Iran, an Israeli minister has warned that the Islamic republic could attack Israel in response.

The US has recently bolstered its forces in the Persian Gulf and Iran has stepped up its bellicose rhetoric, with some seeing a prelude to war.

According to the Jerusalem Post, Israeli Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz told the Israeli media, "Things are heating up."

"If there's some sort of conflagration between Iran and the United States, between Iran and its neighbors, I'm not ruling out that they will activate Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad from Gaza, or even that they will try to fire missiles from Iran at the State of Israel," he said.
