Antisemitic Posters Deface London Bus Stops

Antisemitic posters defaced several London bus stops on Wednesday.

According to the Times of Israel, the posters read: "Israel is a racist endeavor," which constitutes a violation of the U.K.'s official government definition of antisemitism.

The definition states that calling Israel an essentially racist state is antisemitic.

Officials said the posters were unauthorized and constitute "vandalism."

JCDecaux, the company that owns the ad space, tweeted, "This is vandalism not advertising and our teams went out to repost as soon as we were alerted."

A spokesperson for the London transportation agency said, "These adverts are absolutely not authorized by TfL or our advertising partner JCDecaux. It is fly posting and therefore an act of vandalism which we take extremely seriously. We have instructed our contractors to remove any of these posters found on our network immediately."
