IDF Launches Huge Drill Simulating War With Hezbollah


Preparing for a future war with Hezbollah, the Israeli army launched its largest drill of the year Sunday, one that included all branches of the military.

The IDF said that reservists and conscripts, along with the Navy, Air Force, and intelligence services were taking part in the exercise. There is a special focus on communication between all the different branches in a battlefield situation.

Iran-backed Hezbollah is reported to possess more than 130,000 rockets that could easily bombard Israel's north, and perhaps reach as far south as Tel Aviv. But the IDF said it also expects the terror group to launch attacks from Syria and the Gaza Strip.
