Rockets Fired at Golan Heights from Lebanon

Rockets were fired into Israel’s northern Golan Heights region from Lebanon on Wednesday.

The Jerusalem Post reports that air raid sirens sounded and explosions were heard in the area. There are no reports of casualties.

The IDF retaliated shortly afterwards with tank fire.

There has been a recent small but noticeable uptick in rocket fire on Israel’s tense but usually calm northern border.

The IDF believes the rockets are being fired by Palestinian terrorists in southern Lebanon, enabled by the ongoing political and economic crisis in the country.
