Top French Rabbi Denounces Parliament Bill Libeling Israel as 'Apartheid' State

One of France's leading rabbis denounced in unequivocal terms a new bill presented by leftist parliament members that attacks Israel as an "apartheid" state.

The racist left in France has been pushing the bill, led by anti-Semite Jean-Luc Melanchon, who leads the leftist bloc in parliament. The bill was tabled by a communist.

The Jerusalem Post reports that Moshe Lewin, senior advisor to France's Chief Rabbi and Vice President of the Conference of European Rabbis, denounced the racist left's "dangerous obsession" with Israel.

"While France is facing a big economic crisis, a war in Ukraine and diplomatic tensions in Taiwan, the members of the left-wing parties found time to propose a scandalous bill, the likes of which have not yet been seen," Lewin said.

"The Palestinian lobby is working behind the scenes to incite and strengthen the flames of incitement. This proposal could increase the manifestations of hatred and antisemitism toward the Jewish community throughout France," he added.
