Corbyn: Calling Israel Racist Is Fine

Antisemitic Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn issued a stunningly clueless open letter to the Jewish community, saying that calling Israel racist is fine.

Addressing widespread anger over Labour's refusal to adopt the government's official antisemitism definition in full, Corbyn stated, "It is unfortunately the case that this particular example, dealing with Israel and racism, has sometimes been used by those wanting to restrict criticism of Israel that is not anti-Semitic."

In fact, those sections of the definition deal only with obviously racist attacks on Israel, such as comparing it to Nazi Germany.

Corbyn then completely dismissed Jewish concerns over antisemitism as "overheated rhetoric that can surface during emotional political debates."

The Jewish Labour Movement denounced Corbyn's missive, saying, "Today, other than another article bemoaning a situation of the Party’s own making, nothing has changed. There is no trust left. We find ourselves asking once again for action, not words."
