Multiple news outlets are reporting a clash between the Israeli army and Hamas that erupted after the terrorist group attempted to plant a roadside bomb near an Israeli army patrol.

Haaretz is reporting that one teen was killed in the clashes. Hamas officials blamed Israeli tank fire, but the IDF says it fired no tank shells in the clashes.

According to The Jerusalem Post, an initial report points to a Palestinian mortar shell as the cause for the teen's death.
