Biden: 'I do not support annexation'

Presidential candidate Joe Biden told a group of Jewish donors on Tuesday that he opposes Israeli annexation of parts of the West Bank.

The Jerusalem Post reports that Biden said both sides of the conflict should avoid unilateral moves and move toward a two-state solution.

“I think we also have to make it clear that I do not support annexation,” he added.

“The Palestinians need to accept once and for all reality and Israel's right to have a secure democratic Jewish state in the Middle East,” he added. “And Israel needs to stop the threats of annexation, stop settlement activity because it will choke off any hope of peace.”

He also said that the Palestinians must end incitement and rocket attacks against Israel.

“My commitment to Israel is unshakable,” he added.
