Israel Takes Another Giant Step Toward the Moon

Israel's first moon shot is proceeding according to schedule, as the Beresheet spacecraft made another successful maneuver.

According to the Jerusalem Post, IAI and SpaceIL, the companies who built the small craft, announced that Beresheet activated its engine for one minute in preparation for achieving its trajectory around the moon.

The unmanned vehicle is expected to land on the moon on April 4, and will touch down near both the Apollo 15 and Apollo 17 landing sites in the area called the Sea of Serenity..
