U.S. Pulling Troops From Syria in Face of Imminent Turkish Invasion, Abandons Kurdish Allies

U.S. troops are pulling out of northern Syria in the face of an imminent Turkish invasion, abandoning long-time Kurdish allies to their fate.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that the American troops were withdrawing on Monday, and the White confirmed confirmed that this was the case, Reuters reports.

President Donald Trump and Erdogan reportedly agreed that the U.S. would withdraw from targeted areas.

Trump's move essentially abandons the U.S.'s Kurdish allies in the region, who have fought and defeated ISIS in the area over the last few days.
