Interpol on Monday issued "red alerts" for 16 additional suspects wanted in the killing of top Hamas terrorist Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai, the Associated Press reports. The new highest-level alerts brings the total number of those wanted by the international police organization to 27. Of the listed suspects, only one hadn't previously been identified by Dubai police. According to the local investigation, the "second team, the members of which are now also subject of red notices, is believed to have aided and abetted the first team by closely watching, following and reporting al-Mabhouh's movements from the moment he landed at Dubai airport until his murder on January 19," Interpol said. Dubai's police chief maintains that Mossad agents assassinated al-Mabhouh in his luxury hotel room despite Israel's insistence it had nothing to do with the incident. |
